Alicia moves out and Dick breaks up with Carla. A grateful patient gives Carla a check for $5000 but instead of using as “an escape hatch from a lonely existence that had become unbearable,” she donates it to medical research. Dick learns of this and takes Carla back. |

With Vince gone, Amy’s father decides to sell the farm. He returns and introduces Amy to the new owner: Vince. Amy and Vince will be married. |
