I had never heard of "the world-famous cowboy star" Cal McCord, so I researched him. There isn't much info about him. Here's an excerpt from an autograph site: "During the latter phase of World War II, a rider on horseback, dressed like an American cowboy began to be seen on the streets of London. The Hilcote Riding School in Wimbledon, where McCord's horse was stabled, claims that he was a US Army officer stationed nearby. McCord could do real rope tricks, and gave spent cartridges as souvenirs to youths seeking to shake his hand. From 1949 to 1952, McCord was heard on the BBC radio series "Riders of the Range", and he is credited in small supporting roles in British films and TV series, including the Western spoof "Carry On Cowboy," into the early 1970s. The trail of Cal McCord disappears after that."
