SynopsisGloria asks her sister Betty to steal some of Gloria's old love letters from “wolf” Tom’s apartment, since Gloria loves Dirk now. Tom catches Betty but hands over the letters and kisses her. Gloria urges Betty to be nice to Tom and Betty falls in love with him. She then discovers “Tom” is actually Tony, Tom’s cousin, so Betty and Tony can be together without guilt.

SynopsisRuth is dumped by her boyfriend Owen because she doesn’t dress stylishly. She makes friends with Gary, who decides to help Ruth get a makeover in New York. They then attend a party at Owen’s house and all of the male guests are attracted to Ruth. Owen wants to reconcile with Ruth but she tells him “we’re through.” Owen accuses Gary of paying for Ruth’s clothes, etc., but it was really her grandfather who sold some of his book collection to raise the cash. Gary and Ruth realise they love each other.

Stan leaves, and Lynn has herself transferred to Trinidad where he’s working. Stan is upset when she arrives; Lynn is courted by Pedro. Stan admits he loves Lynn and was going to return to the USA to marry her anyway. They reconcile.

She leaves town and takes a job elsewhere. Trevor tracks her down and says he won’t stand in the way of her romance with Bob.
