| Synopsis | Reform school girl Mary Johnson gets a job in a department store and is determined to make good. Co-worker Allan Ross falls in love with her, and, when he proposes, Mary looks forward to married life. Allan is promoted to an administrative position and will eventually see the records kept on file in the office about Mary's past. She tries to steal the records but is caught by Mr. Monroe who thinks she intended to steal some valuable bonds kept in the filing cabinet. She is fired. Time passes, and Mary learns Mr. Monroe refuses to hire reform school girls after his experience with her. She doesn't want the reform school girls to suffer for her misdeed and confesses all to Monroe. Allan overhears her, forgives her, and, once again, expresses his desire to marry her. |
