| Synopsis | Charlene’s mother raised her to hate Roger Crandall, who stole a soft drink formula from Charlene’s late father and got rich from it. As a young woman, Charlene meets Roger’s son Neal and vows revenge on the family, urged on by her bitter mother. However, Charlene really loves Neal and, when she meets the aged invalid Roger, pities him. Roger dies and leaves his money to Charlene and her mother, unknown to Neal. Neal, thinking his penniless state makes him less attractive as a potential husband, offers to break their engagement, but Charlene says only love is important. |
