Good to see a saner treatment of Robert E Lee from more honorable times. Would be nice to see a longer feature on him. Robert E Lee was one of the most honorable men in history. Back then, people identified with their state more than the nation itself, and when Virginia joined the confederacy, he could not fight against the state where his ancestors had been since Virginia had its first colonies. Top-notch West Point cadet and respected by the north and future presidents who have held him as the epitome of an honorable man. While the north pillaged the south and raped and burned their fields, he made sure his men never acted in a manner that would dishonor them. Everyone should study him to see why even northerners wished to honor a man who once fought against them, his picture hanging in the oval office of several presidents before woke ism made having any respect for a past foe 170 years against after the fact against the Dogma.
