| Just who is that cover actress?
I've been watching a lot of old 40's movies and she looks very familiar. |

| Normally identifying actors and actresses from the English speaking world's 1940s films would be right up my alley, having seen most of them several times (at least the US, UK, and Canadian) on TV during the 1950s. She looks familiar to me, but, I can't match the face with a name. But, unfortunately, I have in recent years not only been losing short term memory (which is almost all but gone), but I've started losing long term memory, as well, at an alarming rate.
She looks a little bit like an 18-20 year old Judy Garland. But, not enough. I think this one must have been a been a bit player, or in only B and C films. She certainly wasn't ever a big star. Maybe she was just a magazine model, rather than a film star? |

| Always a bit of a mystery these photos. However, I believe it is none other than Hazel Brooks. The Hollywood camera loved her for her haughty femme fatale face but if you look for images of her on-line you will run across a few photos where she is actually smiling. I am certain that by the genuine sweetness of her smile, plus her nose, lips, and forehead, that this is Hazel. Compare this to Flaming Love 6, Forbidden Love 1 or Love Scandals 4- hard to believe it's the same actress! |

| I'm a photographer by profession. I know from experience that it's very difficult to get a subject to relax and be natural in front of a camera. In addition, some photographers don't have the patience to wait for the right moment.

She is clearly looking right into the photographer's face and is definitely not relaxed. Pity. She has a strong face with much character. |
