With this issue brunette Gale Allen got a dye job and spent the rest of her career as a blonde. I have an irrational liking for this series, even though (or perhaps because) the writers and artists could never make up their minds just who The Girl Squadron were and how they were dressed. Eventually Gale chucked the Squadron altogether and traded in her space-babe outfits for a demure dress. It didn't help. Soon enough she, too, disappeared into the wild, vast reaches of space. |
