And I thought Spectro's outfit in his first appearance was garish. Also, wasn't he using mood rays last time? What's with the heat and cold rays? |
|
Heck, Captain Atom's costumed changed colors too - once, from his first cover, then later when he dropped the mask and went back to blue. |
|
The cover costume here is Cap's original. DC changed it again, more than once. They even used this one on at least one occasion, I can't remember where.
I hated the dull blue one with the blobby thing on the chest that DC used most of the time.
Dc never seemed to make up their minds what to do with the character. |

You have to of course read this story from a point of view when both you and the world were much younger! Actually, I don't know that Charlton Comics were less plausible than Marvels...maybe Marvel was better at obfuscating the psuedo-science explanations. If you stop thinking about the science, you have a story of a persecuted man that splits into five different aspects of himself. What is truer than that, really...everyone is made up of many moods, ideas and points of view. The intriguing part is when those personalities clash and when one tries to gain dominance. Enjoy the Ditko art and maybe think of joining that Columbia House Record Club! Such great music that they are making today... |
