She decides to give him all of the money but it’s too late: he’s a reporter investigating her unethical practices. Arlene is disbarred and sentenced to a year in jail, although this sentence is lighter because Matt testifies on her behalf. Arlene hopes Matt will be waiting for her when she’s released. |
