Decided to read some military comics over Memorial Day Weekend. This one was not very good. First two stories are straight from The Late Late Show school of war flicks with cliche stories and trite dialogue. Art n first story looks like it was done in watercolors. Second story has a ridiculous plot and really fumbling last line. Cover story is very wordy and not always easy to read with sloppy printing technique by Charlton. Violent story with lots of pejorative racial dialogue, but that’s true to the WWII era. I don’t know who was buying this title in 1967, but even in that blatant anti-war, anti-military era, there were better war comics on the stands.
