SynopsisLorna, a lab assistant on “a very secret atomic project!”, dates Tom. While away on business, Tom’s letters ask her to convey seemingly innocent but odd messages to his roommate Bob. Bob and Lorna fall in love, but Lorna eventually deduces that the messages are a code and Tom must be a spy. She confronts Bob and he reveals he’s an FBI agent: Tom’s real roommate is in jail. Lorna’s actions prove she’s innocent. Bob and Lorna embrace.

Jinx stows away on a convoy to the front. When they come under fire, Jinx and Bob admit they love each other, but Bob is angered when Jinx includes this in her story. Bob volunteers to cover a dangerous flight but Jinx takes his place. Bob shows up at the last minute and they both go. When they get back they’ll be married.

However, this causes a mine cave-in and Larry is trapped. Becky goes in to be with him. They are rescued, Becky decides to close her mine, and Becky and Larry will be married.

Ginger takes a train to be with David, the man she really loves.

Pierre finds Jock’s first wife, whom Jock used and discarded: she releases a statement to the press that will clear Beth’s reputation. Pierre and Beth can now be together.
