The Fiction House comics were pretty obviously aimed at a more "adult" audience than most in this era, and the "Blackout" pinups in this issue are blatant proof of that (as well as the 2 pages set aside for contributions from military men)--as if the general level of cheesecake art in the regular stories wasn't enough. One thing that amuses me is how none of the main characters have actual first names: we've got Rip, Hooks, Shark, Dusty, Chip, Kayo (and "Senorita" Rio).

Shouldn't this be marked, version 2? This is a 100% improvement on the previous version.

Rio's full name was Rita Farrar; Elasti Girl of the Doom Patrol may have been named after her. Admittedly, she doesn't seem to have used her 'real' name that often!
