A rip-roaring yarn of abduction and rescue in the desert kingdom of Kazar. (Strange to call it that - there really was a Kazarian Empire around the time of Haroun el-Rashid but much further to the east, north of the Caucasus - rich and civilised when the rest of us were still wading through bogs in sandals.)

Thanks for pointing this one out, Andrew. A rousing story and lovely art. Alex Raymond was so good at flowing drapery! And his chiaroscuro effects (e.g. the last panel on page 53) were masterful. Raymond was so much better on Kirby than he was on Flash Gordon. Contemporary adventure was where his soul was.
