The lead story is something of a moral quagmire. Wracked with guilt after killing a man in the ring, a boxer reinvents himself as a meek office clerk. His icy female boss torments him with verbal abuse and homophobic slurs. Finally he pops his cork, socks her boyfriend, and forces himself upon her. Then we learn it was all a set-up: the boss recognized him, fell in love with him, and used tough love to shock him into regaining his manhood. Even allowing for different attitudes in different times, this is a strange story.

The leading story is hilarious! OMG my sides... I couldn't stop reading even with the awful artwork.

Re 'The Land of Gold' - The second panel talks about Austria, but that's a Map of Australia. [Complete with New Guinea above and Tasmania below.] The final panel with Mum and Dad, gives Dad's name as Franz, so the writer seemingly intended Austria. Did the artist, who I believe iis Gerald McCann - just think nobody would notice? Or did he just not know that Austria was a different country?

That's too funny, Panther. My guess is that McCann glanced at the script, misread Austria as Australia, drew Australia, then went on drawing the rest of the story without a second thought. It's the editor who should take the rap for this one. He ought to have noticed the error.
