Now this is what Easy is all about! Leslie Turner's comedy stories were okay but he really shone in adventures like this one. Turner certainly loved England. This isn't the only story he placed there. I don't know if he visited England or worked from reference, but he always put love and care into his English backgrounds. Plus he drew darned pretty girls. Wish the prints weren't so dark so I could see more of Turner's excellent Craftint work. Even so, this is a treat. Thanks for posting it.

Thanks for highlighting this, Crash – I loved it. A very clever tale of gaslighting showing how easy it is to disorientate and undermine the confidence of another. If I say you are mad, how do you know that you are not?
Snettisham, by the way, is in Norfolk (not Berkshire as it says in the text). The village is five miles from the Queen’s country estate at Sandringham. The drawings of the Manor in the story with crenelated gables and turrets look identical to real-life Sandringham.
Like you say, either Leslie Turner was there – or he carefully researched the background

Glad you are enjoying Capt Easy as much as I. I did not realize Snettisham was an actual place. Very informative, thanks for the comment. Crash, sorry for the dark images. I am scanning from 6 different papers. I try to get the best images and then clean them up somewhat in photoshop.
It takes a week or two to get a complete run scanned and optimized. I hope to eventually get all of 1953 uploaded, so stay tuned for more Capt Easy.
