Wow! This issue of My Little Margie is quite good! The first story was the best of the bunch, but the others were very good, too! 9-stars all the way!

It seems a little off-putting to see the lead character of a comic plotting to steal her frienemy's boyfriend! I know Veronica did it to Betty all the time, but they shared billing for years so it didn't seem like Veronica was the lead character. It seemed a little out of character for Margie, too. I've only seen one episode of the TV series, but in it, she's plotting to help her father, not to benefit herself. Margie's only friend we see in the show is her much older landlady (she lives with her father in an apartment in the city, rather than the suburbs in the comic). I doubt this "Ellen" ever appeared in the show, but I wonder if they had ever used her in the comic before this appearance. Somehow, I doubt it; I don't remember seeing much continuity in characters in Charlton's Margie comics. The cover seems way out of character, too. Margie's schemes rarely came out the way she meant them to, but she was clever and creative with them, so you couldn't exactly call her dumb. Surely not dumb enough to attempt murder just because some strangers say so! I know, it's just a comic and I'm over-thinking it! I just think it's interesting to see the differences between the comic and the tv show, especially with a series that is largely forgotten today.
