NotesThe first issue in a series of adaptations of classic novels. Published in 1949 by Amex Co., Ltd. Artwork by our old friend Cecil Doughty (1913-1985), famous for drawing many episodes of Robin Hood and Dick Turpin for Amalgamated.

An amusing touch on our page 38. Graffiti on the wall in panel 4: "Fagin is a [word scratched out]" and a stick-drawing of a man on the gallows.
