A rarity. This issue of the short lived British weekly is from 1930. Thanks to Ernesto, who notes, " This early, weekly English pulp was an illustrated boy's "story-paper." There were a total of 105 weekly issues ( 1 Mar 1930 thru 27 Feb 1932) published by Amalgamated Press. The Startler then became SURPRISE which was later incorporated into Bullseye in Nov 1933" There is more information about this book at the bottom of the page

If ever I saw a cover designed to make you buy it to see what the story is about, this is it!
Curiously, I note that, unless I missed it, there is no author's credit.
I love the list of free gifts on [our page] #6:- Ronson Machine guns, Flying-fool planes, Big-Six pistols, Spring=heeled Jacks, Conjuring Outfits etc.
I thought Spring-heeled Jack was a character. So what, exactly, is a Spring-heeled Jack?
Cheers!
