The first story, "Fatal Romance!" is based on the film "Gun Crazy" (1950), basically swapping the lead roles but otherwise closely following the plot and similarly concluding with the protagonists’ death in a swamp. |

Tanya bails reporter Johnny out of jail in exchange for marriage, planning to divorce him when they reach the USA. Johnny refuses at first, because he loves Tanya, but eventually gives in. Tanya discovers she actually loves him, and arranges to have him picked up by the police so they can reconcile. |

They do an on-air duet and go on to a long, successful and happy life. |
