Notes | CLIMAX ALL AUSTRALIAN COMIC was published by K G Murray Publishing in (probably) 1947. It’s a one-off anthology title, and K G Murray used the word ‘Climax’ particularly to flag its all-Australian (Murrays published a lot of reprints of American comics, after the WWII era import ban was lifted). In this, we have humour and adventure stories, often with a science fiction style. There’s a story with an Aboriginal character, it’s humorous and a bit racist, though fortunately it isn’t malicious in its racism. Creators are Hart Amos, Noel Cook, Jim Borella Smith and Anton Weitzen. There is more information about this book at the bottom of the page |
