The story "No Place to Go" is a fascinating example of editing a pre-Code story to conform to the new rules. Compare with its original appearance in issue #27. My favorite change is in story page 2, panel 3, where Bill's new girlfriend is rendered invisible--except for her hair color and the ghost of her empty eyes, which couldn't be removed without re-plating the whole book. |
