| Notes | CAPTAIN JUSTICE 1 by Monty Wedd was published by New Century Press in 1950. This character was originally published in Fatty Finn Comics, where he was depicted as an Australian bushranger. He also appeared in Chuckler’s Weekly. His popularity lead to this series, with the character lightly retooled to be an outlaw in the American West – American comics were again arriving in Australia, and rebranding as a Western was hoped to add a new appeal. Captain Justice had a long but nomadic run – other series were published by Calvert and Horwitz, and eventually he was a feature in Woman’s Day magazine.
