| Notes | WIZARD ‘MAGPIE’ COMICS is an anthology one-shot comic published by Frank Johnson in 1946. It includes DOPE SQUAD by John Delaney, BOWYANG BILL by Emile Mercier, STEVE CONRAD by Ross and Peter Chapman, JO AND HER MAGIC CAPE by Moira Bertram, ALLIES IN SPACE by Noel Cook, and a number of short humour and factual features. Four pages from the scanned comic included some enthusiastic but distinctly amateur colouring in of some parts of the story, but they’ve been replaced by the equivalent pages from a different copy (unusually, two copies of this comic were available), which means some pages look a little different than the rest, though this shouldn’t affect the reading. | |||
