That hair prep ad on our page 34...it's signed by Richard Martin Fletcher, AKA Dick Fletcher. He was a staff artist at the Chicago Tribune in the 40s, and also drew comics for Dell in the early 40s. At the time this ad was printed he was just starting a newspaper strip, "Jed Cooper, American Scout." He's often mixed up with RICK Fletcher, who was also a staff artist at the Tribune in the 40s! Rick, the younger of the two, was the artist who took over "Dick Tracy" from Chester Gould.
