What an odd concept for a funny-animal hero. How long did they think readers would put up with a cowardly lead character who cries for his mommy all the time? Personally I lasted 1-1/2 issues.

Thanks very much Titansfan and David Miles, for uploading #1 and #3, rare Golden Age funny animal comics, which I've been looking for for over 50 years. I agree that the title series has a faulty premise, a cowardly character, with seemingly no redeeming traits, makes a lousy protagonist. Maybe we should consider the rabbit who advises the lion as the hero/main character to follow in the story. He tries hard to help the hapless, hopeless lion, and gets mainly frustration from that effort.
