The end page of "The Painting" short story provided the source panel (pg. 25 upper right) for Roy Lichtenstein's "Brushstrokes" painting (1965) and helped establish his brushstroke motiff that can also be seen in LIchtenstein's "Big Painting no.6" and "Little Big Painting." |

The mind machine in the first story must have worked on its inventor as well. He starts out as Dr Nogro, then becomes Dr Norgo, and ends his life as Dr Dogro...all in 6 pages. |
