Fantastic Ditko art, reprinting Konga #1 and Gorgo #1, as well as two short monster stories. Steve Ditko even gets mentioned on the cover of this 1966 edition! |
Being a "giant atomic monster" fan ,I remember being absolutely blown away when I bought this off the spinner rack during my childhood in the 60s. |
Ditko's giant monster 'origin stories' are actually better than the films on which they're based. The films: hokey, slow-moving, badly-acted, cheezy SFX. The comics: Amazingly, all of the foregoing detractions have been removed from the stories by Ditko, and the result is totally convincing (for a comic book)!! |

At the end of the story, Adam's hand is twitching indicating that he might not be dead. |
