| Additional Information | |
| Name | Star Comics v1 9 | Published |
| Publication | Price: 0.10 USD | Pages: 68 | Frequency: monthly | Editing: Harry "A" Chesler (Editor, credited); George Nagle (Managing Editor, credited) |
| Notes | Statement of Ownership, Management, Circulation, Etc. on credits/table of contents page. Index updated from a DCM scan missing pages 31-34 and 61-62. There is considerable confusion surrounding this issue and the previous issue (Star Comics #8) in older sources. The original indexes were taken from Howard Keltner's guide, which appears to have swapped the contents of #8 and #9 (with a few inconsistencies). Even though the DCM scan is incomplete, the table of contents page is unquestionably that of #9, as it includes the indicia as well, and makes it clear that the Keltner listing for #8 come from the contents page of #9. |

| Genre | Non-fiction; History |
| First Line | Caesar had been a member of Rome's ruling triumvirate. |
| Notes | Only the first page is present in the available scan, after which the next several pages are missing, but 2 pages would be typical of this feature. |
| Comic Story | Colt Canyon (2 pages) |
| Genre | Western-frontier |
| Notes | This story may or may not be located at this point- the pages here are missing from the available scan. The page count would fit given the expected page counts of the features to either side (the page count is from Keltner's index, although as with most of the issue, it is incorrectly listed under #8- however, it appears on this issue's title page which otherwise exactly matches the interior contents). Alternately, the story listed as "50 Men Outside" may actually be "Colt Canyon" (with a 1-page filler occupying the extra space), and "50 Men Outside" may be a 2-page story here. |
| Story | Dan Hastings (8 pages) |
| Letters | typeset |
| Genre | Science Fiction |
| Script | Ken Fitch (see note) ? |
| Pencils | Fred Guardineer (signed) |
| Inks | Fred Guardineer |
| Notes | The available scan is missing the first page of this story, but Ken Fitch was credited on earlier splash illustrations. This story is at least 7 pages, and 8 pages is likely as that is the length of the installment in issue #7 (the text story for #8 has not been indexed at this time). |

| Comic Story | 50 Men Outside (3 pages) |
| Genre | Western-frontier |
| Notes | It's not entirely clear if this is "50 Men Outside" or not, as only the final page is present in the available copy. It may be "Colt Canyon", which is the other story on the table of contents that is not accounted for. The story is not mentioned in Keltner's guide, so there's no telling whether it's a 2 or 3 page story (it's possible that there was a 1-page filler that is also part of the 2 pages that are missing between this feature and the previous one. |
