Synopsis | Steve graduates from college and returns to Marshville, convinced there is oil nearby. His fiancée June hates the town and wants them to move away, but when promoter Redmond gets the residents to invest in Steve’s project, she decides to stay. June falls in love with Redmond and breaks up with Steve. Redmond steals the investors' money but Steve presses on until he strikes oil. When an angry Redmond starts a fire at the well, Steve captures him and rescues June. |

Flying to Hollywood in a private plane, Helen learns Dane is just using her to jump-start his failing career; in the ensuing argument, the aircraft crashes and Helen’s face is badly scarred, putting an end to her career. Joe shows up and says he still loves her; they reconcile. |

Synopsis | Famous pilot Bill has always used and discarded women. Hired as chief pilot by wealthy Michael Wallace, Bill courts and then dumps airline hostess Marge. He moves on to Wallace’s daughter Gertrude and discovers he has actually fallen in love with her. However, Gertrude says she was just getting revenge for her cousin Marge’s mistreatment at his hands. Bill gets drunk, wrecks a plane and loses his job. When he learns Gertrude’s flight is missing over the ocean, he steals a seaplane and rescues the survivors despite his own injuries. When they reach safety, Gertrude says she now loves Bill. |

Receiving her law degree, Louise discovers “annoying jellyfish” Harry has taken an office right next to hers. Louise is hired by famous criminal lawyer Paul and falls in love with him. Louise urges Paul not to defend a cop-killer; when the gangster threatens them, Paul flees and it is up to Harry to defend Louise. Louise realises Harry is the man for her, and they wed. |
