The last caption in "The Living Doll" has been rather hamhandedly relettered. I wonder why. Doesn't seem like the kind of story that would offend the Comics Code.

A year and a week since Crash Ryan's comment. I'd suspect that the original closing caption may have said something about the power of voodoo or the power of magic, and that it was changed to the power of the imagination to make it clear that there never *really* was a threat, and that there isn't *really* any evil magic in the world. That would make the story nice and safe for the Comics Code; it would also gut the story, draining it of the danger and threat that Ditko put into his artwork. Ham-handed is right!
