He recovers his memory and Dan withdraws, because Claire feels she must honor her previous engagement. However, Frank confesses he married someone else during the war, so Claire is free to wed her true love Dan. |

However, Bill sees them together and makes a scene, as does Pamela when she arrives. Bill and Amy rescue Edmond and Pamela when they drunkenly drive into a river. Pamela claims it was Amy in the car with Edmond but Bill explains the truth and he and Amy reconcile. |

She flies to Arizona and apologizes to Tex, whom she now loves. |
