I just finished reading Trina Robbins' beautiful book about Lily Renee. So I'm checking out some of her work for Fiction House. The splash page for the Werewolf Hunter in this issue has a woman making the Vulcan sign of greeting. What? Howzat? Well, you see, Leonard Nimoy being Jewish saw the Kohanim make this sign at religious services and then learned how to make it himself. Lily Renee obviously saw the same thing when she was a girl at synagogue in Vienna. |
