| Notes | A freddyfly original! The real title of this comic is Rangers of Freedom. The lead story takes up almost 1/3 (20 pages) of the comic. It's the first appearance for these characters (Marines)... a completely different group than appeared in issues 1-4, and in issue 8 they were re-named the U.S. Rangers (note that the cover features the original group). There are 2 other first appearances: Glory Forbes, Vigilante (daughter of America's foremost bomber designer; she fights spys); and Phantom Falcons ('a gallant gang of misfit flyers'). All these changes were probably prompted by the entry of the USA into WWII. In issue 30 (Aug/46), they became the civilian Sky Rangers.
