Meanwhile, her father feels guilty and buys Katie the shoes she wanted. When he sees Mrs. Patrick's shoes on the table, he tosses them in the trash and replaces them with the new ones. However, to complicate matters, Mr. Patrick arrives and says that his wife had hidden $25,000 in jewels in the toes of that pair of shoes. |
