This one book seems to be the roots of Kirby's DC work from The Project, Kamandi and even the Mobious Chair

Wow! mid-Kirby at his best.

Strange to see a couple of Black Cat text stories pop up in a Harvey Comic dated September 1957 -- when she wasn't being published in stories anywhere else. And in a science-fiction anthology comic, at that. My guess is that these were reprinted from earlier-published Black Cat text stories -- they probably realized at the last minute that they needed to include 2 pages of text in order to qualify for 2nd Class mailing permit.

I liked this issue of the book. There is nothing super-special about either the writing or the artwork. But I found the stories themselves to be a cut above average -- more imaginative and unusual so that they kept me guessing about where the story would go next.
