This is a beautiful book. I really should have rated it much better. |

Until this moment I've never seen in real life a book advertised in comics. Last week I actually saw two volumes of the "Concise Modern Encyclopedia" advertised on the back cover of this issue. |

Another great episode of MARS. I don't understand how the art is so good one episode then the other episodes are dreck. But this is a good one! |

Synopsis | Captain Defi's spaceship lands on Venus. He and his men meet Princess Neo and her people. Mars causes Defi's first mate and the rest of the crew--except for old Sam and cabin boy Dave--to attack and plunder the Venusians. Princess Neo tricks the villains into drinking the juice of a local plant, which causes them to pass out. Defi will go back to Earth and his crew will be charged with mutiny. |

In a battle, the Tab of Xalan is mortally wounded by the Tab of Guirtha; the dying king asks Reef to aid his wife the Tabess in her fight against the Guirthites. Tab and Vara are reunited and promise to help her. |

Synopsis | Tona loves Dasa, daughter of the king of Jupiter's Sun People. She steals a radium jewel that will allow them to survive in the forbidden valley--which has "dense air"--and the couple flees. They are captured by Haga's Mist People. Auro intervenes on the side of the Sun People: he exiles Haga and destroys the machines that "densify" the air in the valley, which will now be available to all people. The King says Tona and Dasa may wed. |

Synopsis | Star Pirate and his sidekick Trody visit the deserted planetoid where they cache their booty and discover Sir Gayda and Wista stranded there. When pirate Muigela's ship lands, Star Pirate learns the villain is dead and defeats Gurn and Mika to become the crew's new leader. The pirates attack a space liner but the crew mutinies when Star Pirate orders no one harmed. The Space Patrol captures them all. Star is sentenced to hang but Sir Gayda reveals himself to be the king of Pluto and pardons him. |
