When she visits Hervey’s island home, she meets his grown son Bob. Fran also arrives and is upset, but Hervey says he realizes Kay is too young for him and he really prefers Fran. Kay flees in a boat but has to be rescued by Bob, who says he loves her. |

Thelma tries to commit suicide again, but is rescued once more and reconciles with Mike. |

When Tom learns this, he says “I’m not taking your charity” but Dona’s father says “you’re worth more than I’m paying you.” Tom and Dona reconcile and will wed. |
