Claire tricks Rod in driving without a license and causing an accident, then urges him to flee rather than be sent back to prison for a parole violation. Kent overhears and breaks up with Claire. The judge tells Claire “your conscience will exact its own punishment” and warns Rod “next time see that the person you give your love to is worthy of it!” |
