I can;t seem to be able to get off this topic! Here we have Jimmy Thompson, also working for Eastern. Any relation? Don't know. But here is some material on him.

If you check out the article, you will see that he worked at Marvel on Bill Everett's other water character, Submariner. And yes! He mightily exaggerates Subby's triangular face. Co-incidence? or in-joke? Or Editorial directive?
Also, curiously, this blog doesn't mention his work for Eastern and more surprisingly, Don Markstein's Toonopedia doesn't mention Eastern Colour as a publisher at all! |
