I think this is an interesting book in particular because, on one hand, one could easily condemn Wally Wood as a racially insensitive villain, even for a man of his time, based on how he drew Geranium here. On the other hand though, he seems to caricature all the white people as exaggerated as she is, with Judy arguably falling into the white hillbilly caricature reminiscent of Li’l Abner. Not sure what to make of it myself, but I imagine others would have to say a lot more about it regarding that thought, considering more recent exaggerated comedic media like The Simpsons and such.
