| Ah, Black Phantom - not only did I find her first appearance (as a VILLIAN!), but I fall even harder for her. SHE'S A TWIN! I was a twin, too (my twin brother Bob just passed away last year, on Jan. 6)! She's rendered here by THE Black Phantom artist, Frank Bolle. The only thing that keeps me from scoring this book a "10" is the fact that my girl gets referred to as a "SHEMALE" - Oh, no, they di'n't! The Ghost Rider story was good, too - drawn by Dick Ayers and using the "badguy double" plot device, one that we'd see in superhero comics a good few times, could this be where all that started, or were there earlier examples? Still and all, a GREAT issue! |
