Janet Spence brings Prof. Prome a photograph of a strange lizard-like monster frozen in the Arctic ice. Over the objections of the natives, Prome thaws out the creature and it comes to life. Janet is killed by the revived monster but Prome escapes. However, he is later found dead in his office in the city, with fang marks on his neck.
