Glorious pencils and Eastman-style colouring throughout this one – a real joy! Bug-a-Boo gets sticky for a bug-eyed booby whilst One Man’s Poison fails to understand a vampire’s needs. Paralysed is a neat tale of justifiable vengeance but my favourite was My Brother’s Keeper – I didn’t see the punchline coming at all and I always like that.
The cover has nothing to do with the stories inside – but it doesn’t matter, this is a very fine issue.

Of all the pre-Code horror comics I've read, I've never seen a more blatant imitation of an EC comic. Everything: the story title lettering, the Leroy-lettered balloons with too many boldface words, the gross-out themes, even the artwork (Wildey imitating Wood, Savage imitating Ingels).
