Great scan - excellent comic - as many epic punches as a Bobby Brown dinner party!

Good comic with the Risk stories having some real mystery to them. This Ken Rice artist is also pretty good. But is that one story really drawn by Gene Colan? It doesn't really look like his style. Either his early work was pretty rough or else he had a lousy inker on this job!

That's Big Gene, all right, though I don't know if he inked it. Some of Colan's early stuff WAS pretty rough--we all gotta start some where! If you want to see glimpses of the Colan to come, check out the fight poses in the last panel of page 5 and the running guys on the next page.

I just finished Stieg Larsson's Millennium series yesterday. Synchonicity.

Great comic! Not your typical rehash of hard-boiled cliches. A fun, fast-paced read with a hero that is more 1930s Ellery Queen than Mike Hammer.

NotesJim Vadeboncoeur Jr. checked again and revokes his credit for John Buscema. This is Ken Rice taking over from Buscema (who appeared in the last issue). The misspelled story title was called out by Dr. Fredric Wertham on page 144 of Seduction of the Innocent (Rinehart, 1954). "Spelling in comic books is often faulty. 'The Case of the Psycopathic [sic] Lady' is not good for children in either content or spelling."
