Specifically, this strip is from Buffalo Bill Wild West Annual #3 (1952). Script by Arthur Groom (though there is the very good likelihood that Colin McLoughlin had some part to play). Denis was one of the best western artists, and, although this is a lesser strip, the quality shines through regardless.

Although these scans are also available in the uploaded book "Buffalo Bill Wild West Annual 1951," these scans are at a bit higher resolution (1200 x 1800) than what are in the uploaded book (1050 x 1450). Many thanks for the share.
