| Notes | The Eastern Color 1943-1945 ledger at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History in Hartford, Connecticut, from the November 1945 portion of the ledger, lists several payments for script work that was intended for this issue. However, it does not list the names of the stories nor the page counts for the scripts in question. The amounts paid correlate to lesser page counts, but it is unknown exactly which stories they were for. The payments are as follows: A person named Mielaw or Millaw (the handwritting is not clear), who does not seem to correspond with any known comic book writer, was paid $16.00, probably for a two page script; Demby (Emanuel Demby) was paid $12.00, likely for a one-page script; and Loeb (Charles Loeb) was paid $8.00, likely for a one-page script. |

| First Line | Though the great Russian generals... |
| Notes | Per the Eastern Color 1943-1945 ledger at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History in Hartford, Connecticut, Eastern Color Printing, from the November 1945 portion of the ledger, listed Schrotter (Gus Schrotter), being paid $132.00 for story and art in this issue. It does not list the story title nor the number of the pages that was paid for. But based on other entries in the ledger, $120.00 was what was paid for a six page story script and art and $12.00 for a one page story script. So it makes it likely that he worked on this story (the only 6 page story whose credits are unaccounted for) and script on another unknown story that may or may not have ended up appearing in another issue. |

| Notes | Per the Eastern Color 1943-1945 ledger at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History in Hartford, Connecticut, Eastern Color Printing, from the November 1945 portion of the ledger, listed Greene as being paid $64.00 for art. It does not list the story it was paid for nor the page count of it, but it is double the amount of $32.00 he was paid for the art in another story which he is known credited for in this issue, and this story is twice the page count of that one, so that $64.00 payment is for this story. |

| Notes | Per the Eastern Color 1943-1945 ledger at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History in Hartford, Connecticut, Eastern Color Printing, from the November 1945 portion of the ledger, listed Greene as being paid $32.00 for art. It does not list the story it was paid for nor the page count of it, but it is half the amount of $64.00 he was paid for the art in another story which he is known credited for in this issue, and this story is half that page count of that one, so that $32.00 payment is for this story. |
| Text Story | The Mystery of the "Mary Celeste" (2 pages) |

| First Line | The Marie Celeste, a ship of about 280 tons... |
| Notes | Per the Eastern Color 1943-1945 ledger at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History in Hartford, Connecticut, Eastern Color Printing, from the November 1945 portion of the ledger, Nicholas (Henry C. Nicholas) was listed as being paid $25.00 for a story script for this issue (but does not list the name of the work paid for nor the page count). Based on other entries in the ledger, the payment was for a two page text story, and since he is only credited for this story, this is what that payment was for. This also confirms that Nicholas was a real person and not a House Name. |
