The Medical Officer tells them that Andersen is evolving. The Captain begins to change like Andersen but by the time he reaches the controls he no longer cares about turning the ship. The humans on the ship all become energy merging with the infinite cosmos. The last being left on the ship documents the changes before he too evolves. |
