I'm surprised, I didn't know that there were also comics from 'Charlie Chan', they weren't published in Germany. I think, the face of the C.C. in the comics appears to be the face of actor Warner Oland, who made a total of 16 C.C. films from 1931 to 1937.

CK, the first couple of Charlton "Charlie Chan" issues were material left over from Prize Comics' Chan books. Charlton bought them when Prize went out of business. Check them out if you haven't already seen them. Here's the first issue:

A few weeks ago I started watching the Walter Oland/Keye Luke Charlie Chan films on Talking Pictures TV. These comics seem to be based on them. Brilliant!!
