Thanks, narfstar! Slapstick is oddball & wacky, especially Firetop! Art on Stone Age Stan is by Howard Post, who did (stone age) Anthro for DC. The Firetop cover is signed "MP" -- anybody know who "MP" is? Don't miss this one, folks -- it's HOT! Tars

This is one great book, the only real flaws are that the page listed as pg. 1 is actually pg. 21 (NOT pg. 22), printed a second time and screwing up the page count (the cover is listed as pg. 2), the other drawback is the first story in the book ends with the hero, Rick O'Shea, vowing to capture his foe in the next issue - which never comes! Still a lot to like here, though - I don't know who did the cover (as well as the lead story) here, but his style is VERY REMINISCENT of George Lichty, who drew the old newspaper strip, Grin and Bear It. I especially liked the look on the dog's face as he eyeballs that fire hydrant! Howard Post did TWO stories here, at least he SIGNED HIS WORK! Last (I'll let YOU decide whether it was least or not) on my highlight reel (or lowlight, again its YOUR call) is Laundryman, and his Chinese sidekick, Wetwash. Okay, thinking about the misprints and unsigned artwork and unresolved cliffhanger is making it hard for me to concentlate,er, concentrate, so I AM OUTTA HERE!

I forgot to say the cover artist is Munson Paddock and this is a must read comic

There is some evidence that this comic was put together by the Bernard Baily Studio... both Post and Paddock worked for him during this time frame and a printing order has been found from Baily's shop for this comic.
